And a new chapter begins ....

What's the expression - a picture is worth a thousand words? This picture probably contains even more than that for me.

To be completely honest, I am not sure how I am feeling. I haven't slept well (in fact I've slept like shit) the past 5 nights and I'm not sure if it was the hot, scratchy sheets, the achy hip or starting school tomorrow and the unknown of it. Maybe it's all of the above.

What I can say is that even though Covid has turned our world's upside down, there have been so many silver linings.

Countless sunsets is one of those silver linings.

I find it truly amazing how what we focus on is what we get. I remember when I was pregnant, it felt like everyone was pregnant. And when I got a new car, everyone had that new car. At least that's how it felt!!! Of course not everyone was pregnant and not everyone was driving the same care as me - it's just what was on my mind so I was looking for it!

If we look for the silver linings no matter what the shitty circumstances are, we will always find them! These sunsets are proof of that.

Yes I could go on and on about not being able to see my brother (he lives in Chicago and I haven't seen him in 2 years) .... I could go on and on about the cancelled trips .... and guess what it would bring me? MORE SHIT!!!

So I work everyday on being intentional with what I put out to the universe. And yes there are shit days and shit moments - but there are so many MORE moments to be thankful for and as I head in to this new chapter of my life, I am eternally grateful for a camera roll full of amazing memories AND beautiful sunsets!
